Additional Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy Information

Touted as the most romantic event to grace the ruined halls of Ireland's Castle Malloy, the Simmons-Mallory wedding was supposed to be a fairytale beginning, but now the groom is missing! Did a banshee crash the wedding or is this a case of cold feet? Can you, as Nancy Drew, unravel the knot of scattered clues and scary superstitions? You'll to catch more than a bridal bouquet to make this is a happily ever after!

Meet The Suspects
Kyler Mallory
A stock broker in London who lived with Nancy's family as an exchange student four years ago. She is now engaged to Matt Simmons and is excited to hold her wedding at Castle Malloy. Her grandfather, Edmund Mallory, recently passed away and named her as the sole beneficiary. He never spoke about his childhood and Kyle is just now learning about her true family history

Matt Simmons
A travel and sailing free-lance writer for magazines. Known for his dry wit, Matt loves to play pranks on others. Friendly and likeable, he had planned on getting married in the Bahamas, but agreed to change his plans to make his fiancée, Kyler Mallory, happy.

Kit Foley
Matt's best friend and accomplice on sailing trips. Kit was born in the US and is the son of a Krolmeister Inc. VP. The company transferred the family to London when Kit was young, but he never picked up the British accent. He currently works as a land developer, and he arrived early to help Matter and Kyler prepare for their wedding

Donal Delany
As Castle Malloy's ever-present caretaker, he's been watching the grounds for too many years to count. This Irish born gentleman isn't particularly fond of foreigners and he's the first to admit it. He is however the resident expert on Irish mythology and lore, which might explain his overly superstitious nature.

What Customers Say About Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy:

The game isn't that fun. When you arrive, however, you find that her husband-to-be is missing. It was very Irish. You can call your friends in this game. I don't think that a walkthrough is necessary, because the game is pretty self-explanatory.Fun-This is the main problem. Unfortunately, when you walk around in the game, you are mostly in 3rd person. All of the characters looked nice, and the backgrounds were pretty.

Now, I suppose that some might like that feature, but I enjoy the Nancy Drew games more when they are 100% in first-person. But, don't worry, when in third-person, you just see the top of Nancy's head, nothing else.Sound-The music was very pleasant to listen to. Because of the cover, you might think that the game is really scary, but apart from a few startling scenes, there aren't too many scares.Story-You are going to Ireland to be maid of honor to a girl who stayed with your family as a foreign exchange student a few years back. For instance, some were: picking flowers, herding sheep, and mixing drinks. Some were nice, challenging puzzles, but most of them weren't what the other Nancy Drew games have. You can call Ned, and you can also call Bess and George. I don't find that there is much replay value, but some might like to play it again.Overall, I recommend this to people who like romantic mysteries, like chore-type puzzles, or are huge fans of the series. You never feel like the groom is in fatal danger or anything, and the story is more of a romance rather than a mystery.Length-The game is about 10-15 hours, I think.

You basically start searching for him while solving puzzles along the way.Graphics-The graphics were really nice. You are mostly doing errands (although, yes, there are a few puzzles mixed in). I liked it and thought that it added atmosphere to the game.Gameplay-The puzzles in this game weren't that fun. They were more like errands. Also, the story isn't that interesting. Otherwise, give this game a pass.

The puzzles were not boring nor tedious and falling in the lake and getting blown up made me chuckle. I have to admit, I really didn't care much for the previous two ND games so I was a little hesitated about purchasing this one. And I am glad I did. This would have to be my favorite ND game so far. I think I may have to play it again.Graphics 10Sound effects 10Puzzles 10I even liked the Irish accents.

You really feel like you're in the castle. I don't want to give anything away, so I won't go into to detail, and will just say that the ending severely interfered with my enjoyment of the castle's atmosphere. The graphics when inside the castle are also fantastic- high resolution, lots of detail. An old Irish castle after dark is bound to be spooky, and indeed it is. This is one of the newer Nancy Drew games, and there's both good and bad to it. In sum, Nancy Drew addicts will definitely want to play this game, and there are certainly things to recommend here, but it's not one of the better Nancy Drew games. On the same note, I found the ending to be quite unsatisfactory. Quite simply, there isn't much plot- Nancy is searching for her friend's missing fiance, but beyond that, we get little plot development.

Outside the castle the player controls Nancy from above, meaning that the graphics are quite simplistic, and it's more like an arcade game than a mystery. Other pluses of this game- it's a fairly long game to get through, and some of the puzzles were quite challenging. I'll start with the good: the atmosphere of this game is great- very creepy. Also, I was unhappy with the outdoor navigation in this game. Part of the castle has been blown up, and it was never really clear why someone was staying in a room with half the roof missing, but we'll hold that thought until we get to the plot. On to the negatives: the most important one is the plot. I much prefer to see the game through Nancy's eyes. The first third of the game is decidedly the best part, and then it starts to go downhill.

Very frustrating. I could not get this to work on my computer. I just got the blue screen of death repeatedly. I gave up and also did not bother getting the next one(Ransome of seven ships) since I must not have the capability on my computer which is four years old. My granddaughter and I play these when she visits so I was very disappointed.

WOW. This Is Very Fun To Play But A Little Hard See I Had To Go On Youtube To Find All The Cheats Even My Mom Plays It She Also Needs To Find Cheats But Its Still Fun To Play And When You Finish The Game Its A Happy Ending And A Trivia Question At The End So Be Prepared
